I have a 1975 Mercury 650 65 horse 3 cylinder serial #4264549 outboard (enough info???), when I turn the key to start the motor all I hear is a single click. I know that my battery and starter are good. Could this simply be a bad rectifier? Thanks <br /><br />wellwhoopidydoo
I have a 1975 Mercury 650 3 cylinder and was wandering if the stator was bad (being that mercury does not make replacement stators for this motor), can the stator itself be fixed/repaired/rebuilt??? I'm not saying it is bad just incase it is what are my options. <br /><br />tankuvedimuch
I have my lower unit off to replace the impeller, there is sand everywhere, wuz wandering if it would hurt anything to rinse it out/off with water or will the water get in the oil or what? I havent removed the lower part to the water pump just the upper and the impeller. BTW I have a 1975 650...
Hi all, My father in law sold me a Merc 650 for $150 but it was missing the throttle/gear controls, does anyone know where i might be able to find them? Thanks in advanced.
