    Lanyard Kill Switch

    On my 1975 Merc 650 65hrs 3cyl outboard motor, can I connect my Lanyard Kill Switch where the Mercury Switch used to be? If I was told right the Merc Switch was an emergency kill switch also just only if the motor was trimmed to high to prevent the water intakes from being obove the water line.

    Flywheel ????

    Are the flywheel key and the sheering pin the same thing? and If so, if it has been broken wouldn't there be some noticeable play between the flywheel and the piston movement?
