Stable Fishing Boat for a Big Man

Hi, I have a buddy up north who is also a a very big man and avid fisherman. He runs a 24’pontoon boat with around a 60 to 70 hp on it. We’ve made it out of Killarney Chanel into Georgian Bay down Collins Inlet and back numerous times without spilling a drop. Very stable boat. Cheers.

Makes sense to me, I’ll make sure I get all that cleaned in there. Thanks again.

It’s a 43 year old boat, lots of chapters to it’s story.

    Can’t find any anodes.

Can’t find that part number anywhere and I do try to look things up before I ask a question. I did find a ground plate(982438) that is made of zinc but being in fresh water I thought aluminum or magnesium would be better. I will look into updating my 43 year old parts book!

    Can’t find any anodes.

Thanks for the reply southcogs, nothing there either. So would it be alright to put one somewhere back there under the waterline(well sealed) as long as it doesn’t effect anything?

    Can’t find any anodes.

I have a 1979 OMC 2.5 liter, 990243 on a 400 stern drive 981871( with 15 spline prop shaft). Are there any anodes on this outdrive that are hidden, I can’t find any. I only run in fresh water but I noticed a bit of corrosion on the transducer screws. Thanks for your time.
