I have cross referenced with my 25 HP Johnson, magneto plate looks the same, both have indentation for two coils. the question is does the 20HP have two coils on the magneto plate or one like the 25HP.     Thanks for reply . I was concerned if I turned rod to raise it and if it wasn't threaded I would have more problems. Have just acquired motor and could not get it in gear. After getting your reply I reassembled and it is working fine.
