    stripped low-speed plug

    the low speed orifice plug wont come out because the person who previously worked on the carb stripped the screwdriver slot. how do I get it out?     Cant get lower unit off

    1974 85 hp Johnson, followed the service manual to a tee. I disconnected the shift rod at the top, unscrewed the four external bolts, and the one under the trim tab. It wont budge. I hit it with a hammer in different directions. Nothing. Any Advice? this is the first time Im working on an outboard.

    Interior paint

    Im redoing the floor in my boat and I dont want to recarpet. I want to paint or coat it with something that is durable and non-skid. Im worried that carpet might hold water or hide future floor problems. Whats a good paint to use? anybody have pictures of their solutions?
