My 4 HP deluxe is one where it has its own tank under the cowl. That's where you turn it off. Perhaps the sticker goes to each. Does the fuel run through it or does it steal from the carb? Is your primer functioning correctly?

If I'm understanding this correctly, you just need the same hole pattern from your old one.

I would remove the welch plug from the top and see if it broke off and drive the piece out. Then see if your new one taps in. I don't believe the holes need to be orientated in a specific way. One guy did it with a different engine than yours. Either way it's a money (time) loser.

Yes and good fuel lines. BRP sells a little inline filter that goes on the suction side of the fuel pump.

Glad you were able to locate that...I suggest buying a parts motor if you can find one. Power pack has been reported to fail more than normal and keep those carbs clean. Lots of filter changes and non-ethanol fuel. I'm assuming the vro has been deleted as OMC specified.

You are correct on your original part number and I was wrong. Normally you read those schematics from left to right but this one goes right to left. I had that motor until recently and it was a pain. We had a gentleman here who couldn't get the right water pump housing because he'd order from...

Industrial viniger is much stronger...(30percent) Than store stuff. CLR is homeowner stuff and not very powerful. Looks like it worked good, the patch correct?

Could be hard waters...try that otherwise paint it. Lots of prep of coarse.

I just removed a concealed side mount this year and mounted a regular control box...so I'm aware of the two wires coming off that delicate switch. Both these harnesses have only one. Trying to remember where the other one comes from. Old age....lol

Just caught up on my manual, first wire closes to ground at 96 degrees to shut down quickstart.

Here's how I think it goes and others can confirm. Quickstart starts closing at 105 degrees or so...so I suspect that maybe remains open...the tan wire closes when it overheats so that's definitely grounded. Those two wire sensors are hard to find and expensive...best to go to a one wire from...

Old cork floats for me have not been nice ...mis-behaving mostly. Particles float off and plug the carb. Do they not make an upgrade float for yours? Kind of a no brainer.

New in a can will not fix your carb problem. Best to just do it the normal way.
