    I have seen lots of those on Volvo Penta. Never really worried about it much except for the one with the cooler. The cooler seemed to catch all of the bits.

    Convert trailer for inboard use

    The boat looks heavy on the hitch to me. It might be worth trying to slide it back a little but, as others have pointed out, you have to have weight on the hitch. Towing without enough weight on the hitch is not fun and can be dangerous.

    There appears to be quite a difference between your trailer and the ones they are trying to sell you. The rear crossmember looks closer to the axles. If it is only hitting the roller, could the roller be removed? My trailer has a roller there but I don’t think the boat has ever touched it.

    The dust cap or bearing buddy provides the seal on the front. That’s why those rubber pieces need replaced on the caps used with axles having zerk fittings when they deteriorate or tear. I just install standard caps since I don’t use the zerk fittings

    I like K&N filters but feel 2 are needed because the cleaning and oiling process takes a considerable amount of time. It’s nice to have one ready to go in when the time comes.

    I have made five 1,000 trips dragging a trailer in the 2 months. Probably have at least five trips remaining. That is two ten hours days stoping only for fuel and restroom. Gas is killing us at 10 mpg but I think waiting for a vehicle to charge would be worse.
