I'm replacing the impeller on a 1983 mercruiser i/o 120hp 2.5 liter. I'm foloowing the step by step instructions. I am at #14 lift the impeller up off the shaft. Problem in the impeller will not budge. There is a lot of melting I'm wondering if the impeller has melted to the shaft...
