    would a 18hp mercury work on a 18' jon boat

    I have a 1872 Landau aluminum Jon boat. Im going to use it for hunting and fishing. Would a 18hp Mercury work? I found a real good deal on one, but wanted so see if anyone else has used this size. The tag say 40hp max on it. Thanks in advance.

    Can I convert my 1979 Johnson 35 hp to tiller steer?

    I have a johnson 35 hp and would like to make it tiller steer. Can anyone help me with a parts list of needed parts. And Im not sure if this matters but this is an electric start motor.
