    Depends on the water temperature and whether or not the tell tell is in parallel or in series with the cooling loop Your not generating enough heat at idle to open a stat unless running for a considerable amount of time.

    Ohm testing a coil isn't a reliable means to measure the performance of a coil. I've had more bad coils test good more time than I can count. The only true measure of performance is to test the output with a spark tester.

    Heat index is made up hype. Was your 104 heat index the result of 94 degrees and 50% humidity or 84 degrees and 90% humidity?

    A bad cable connection doesn’t discriminate between radio checks and broadcast messages. Having said that, VHF is line of sight communications. If you can’t see the broadcast antenna, you can’t hear broadcast. On a typical day, you’re not going to hear anything that more than 3-4 miles away...
