    I had a pump housing rust out from the inside and dripped fluid into the bilge. I guess it had got water inside somehow.

    My 2001 gmc still has the original spare, never been on the ground. If I have a flat it's usually a nail or screw that creates a slow leak which i find , plug, pump up the tire and continue.

    looks like a 1/2 inch steel rod cut to length and clamped under a couple of u bolts. don't know what else to call it.

    maybe install a vertical bulkhead at the forward end of the splash well space, in other words the aft of the extension becomes the splash well.

    I feel for ya, I acquired an old searay a few years ago, 95 model 220 and I don't like it so I have no desire to use it, but it was free. So at least the only thing I'm out is the parts I bought to get it going.

    I have a 1/2 inch milwaukee probably 20 years old and it will turn a 5 inch hole saw with no problem other than when the saw binds up. All you can do is turn it loose. Hopefully the trigger lock is not in use.
