    When I worked Fire for the DNR we would stage in parts of the county, I often parked at a large county park that was on the lake. I would park the engine in the lot by the boat ramp. We would set the over/under on how many tries when they pulled unto the ramp. Have seen some doozies over the years.

    If you have 4 wheel drive you can back in as far as you want. I have been to boat ramps in northern WI and MN where you had to have the tail pipe submerged to get the boat off the trailer.

    It is also a fun adventure to go by water, you need experience to do that though. I have gone from Pickwick TN to Florida and back a dozen times, it is not like recreation boating though you have to have a plan.

    I am just so happy I don't have to get up at 4:30 anymore and drive. I enjoy my job, as my kids say all I do is fly places and talk to people and fly home.

    My wife's uncle had a septic business and spread the contents of the "honey wagon" on his fields. I always joked the ears of corn in his field all had used condems on them.
