Docking, how should my lines be?

Have a question about keeping your boat docked in the water for the season. The dock that I keep my boat at the marina is the last dock in the slip. So I have nothing in front or behind me. So for a floating dock should I keep the lines tight against the dock or should there be some slack in the...

Selling Newer Boat For Older Larger?

Depends. Will you be trailering the bigger boat? I originally went your way traded a 19 footer for a 24 foot cruiser. Pulling it in and out each time got old fast. Sold it 2 years later and went to a pontoon than a deck boat

    The Boating Season That Wasn't

Just curious what area do you boat on at lake erie? My story is kind of similar we downsized from a cabin cruiser to a pontoon, and now to a nauticstar 193sc(almost identical to your stingray) and I have been hesitant on taking the nauticstar out on erie

    Tritoon vs Deck boat

The tritoon pretty much cut through <2feet of chop with barely noticing it. The deck boat you feel the pounding. Now anything bigger than 2 feet the tritoon would take on water over the bow where the deck boat usually stay dry

    Tritoon vs Deck boat

I went from a 19 foot starcraft tritoon to a 19 foot nauticstar deck boat. If I had to choose a winner I would pick the tritoon. Had to trade my tritoon for the deck boat so that it would fit into my garage(stupid HOA). The tritoon had more room, more comfortable ride, easier to work...

    Making extra step for ladder

I also thought about using starboard too. I know starboard has some buoyancy just not sure if it would have more buoyancy than wood. I do plan on adding some metal plate backing to the bottom of the step

    Making extra step for ladder

My current boat has your normal 3 step telescoping metal ladder, and I really need a 4 step ladder. Originally I bought a 4 step ladder, but the issue I have is to remove the current ladder I would need to get access to the nuts in the bilge. Unfortunately it is pretty much impossible to get a...
