    on a gen 2 I dont think there is glue on that side of bellows. you can just put a new retaining ring in, but I would check the bellows condition closely before doing so. If they are OEM bellows they should still be in good shape. While this is fresh water my factory bellows were still water...

    yes I'm a big guy and the boat could pull me up on two skiis just fine. This was with a 16" pitch 4 blade Michigan Vortex. Ran a 18" 4 blade for non skiing use. Also was so easy to get at the spark plugs and two drain plugs. Not sure how many hours you put on yours a season- on a northern lake...

    always some nuances but that is one thing chevy did well 2 filters covering 60 years... If you haven't had one a 3.0 is one of the best engines to work on and the one we had served us very well for 20+ years.

    willing to bet if you take cap rotor and coil off you should be able to get the covers off with out pulling the dizzy. Its been a few years since I had my 3.0 ... If you do need to pull it yes 3/8 is close to 10 mm. No pic came through

    amazing what a diff it makes with just a bit of heat. You can do the same getting bearings on shafts etc by heating them. We have a couple bearing heaters at work that Ive used for jobs like this.
