How to kill mold on billge/engine surfaces

Um, no it isn't. Would you consider the Walmart, target, leidl, or home Depot the premium brands?

    Almost there

we'll see... No sign of milk thus far. @Scott Danforth hopefully ps cooler not a casualty of winter but would be easier than dealing with anything in the area of the ram. I'm rooting for a leak at a hose clamp on the low pressure side

    Almost there

Obviously. Oh, I did see my ps fluid was down a pint with no obvious leaks. So I'm sure that will turn into a project. I still need to replace the front cross member on my trailer (but I think I'll roll the dice and splash so that I can work on the trailer empty). Sticking throttle cable...

    Replacement Gauge

Also, unless you are really keen on matching your gauge there are plenty of multi units on eBay with a gps speedometer.

    Almost there

2 weeks ago (still cold), realized that I had already replaced all the hoses/plugs after winterizing (yay last fall me) and changed oil (yay again). No fuel stabilizer. Still haven't pulled lower unit or changed gear oil (boo last fall me). Jumped fuel pump, pumped throttle twice, turned key...

1981 Rinker with Mercruiser 120HP, In what order should I do these repairs??

Not a press fit but can be a bit fiddly. If you're not square going in I could see it jamming if you force it.

Random mis at idle, gets worse at speed

Or mechanical problem, burnt valves etc. I'd start with a compression test and check spark.

1981 Rinker with Mercruiser 120HP, In what order should I do these repairs??

I haven't seen a rubber bushing on any of the alphas I've dealt with.

    TB V?

Ah, that's right. I'm going to have to look more into it if I get it. I forget whether the more aggressive timing curve is only with the KS connected, and how hard it would be to find the module, whether that's the same as the V8 (more tbv around for the V8), etc. would be a nice upgrade I think

    TB V?

Got a line on a cheap TB V module, P/N 861251-1. Anyone know if they were all knock sensor capable? Cheap enough that I'm going to grab it as a spare anyway.

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

That's crazy. Haven't dealt with this yet. This is only the second automatic that I've (sort of) owned :)

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

It would be better if they started making coolant systems that didn't routinely self-destruct.

Car in gear and running? What?

    spark plug question

The longer plug is for the vortec engines...Your '96 PROBABLY is non-vortec, but that's right around the time Merc switched the heads... Dieseling isn't uncommon after running for a while and not letting the engine cool down for a full minute or so before shutting down.

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

That's what the garage floor is for.

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

Tbf, not sure what the point of a transmission dipstick is. If I'm down there I'm changing the fluid anyway.

    Family of 5, 19ft or 21ft?

That's a good layout, similar to my 19'. I can fit 8 easily, 9 if you know your neighbor in the back seat well, 10 if you have 3 kids in the bow...

1981 Rinker with Mercruiser 120HP, In what order should I do these repairs??

+1, rolling torque wasn't a thing until after the alpha was a few years out.
