    Coil wire install

I would normally go with Dielectric grease in this case, but not sure what the manual specifies

    Trailer tires.

Every car I've owned had much greater inner wear than outer. Guessing anything reasonably sporty runs with a good amount of negative camber.

    Too Much Prop Issue?

Bottom line is that unless you can get the boat to WOT rpms (around 4500 rpm) and speed (should be in the area of 50mph), too many bad things could be going on... If you don't get those numbers on a water test I'd walk away.

    Hot water heater

I looked into replacing my gas tank with tankless a few years ago. Not an easy conversion, many of the specialized adapters, Etc we're super expensive, in addition to the cost of the heater itself. To say nothing of the increased labor to get it in there. I calculated the payback at something...

Alpha One Gen 2 Shaft Seal Choice

Yeah not sure what I was thinking of there... Doesn't require that on a gen 1, or some gen 1 input shaft seals, so not sure whether I was thinking of the wrong drive, wrong seal, or both(y)

No rolling torque on his drive, it's a basic torque setting.

    Trim limit switch wiring

I think OP is asking if the wires on the trim limit switch are interchangeable, not if the switches themselves are. If that's the case then no, it doesn't matter which wire from the switch connects to which wire on the transom..

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

Had to look hard for a stick shift. $2500 in 2009, definitely got my money's worth. Planting vegetables.

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

Here, hold my beer...Just when you thought it couldn't get red-neckier. Got 2 canoes for $100. They aren't as deep as I had hoped (13"), but we'll see if they work. Looked into grow bags as another option, and they look promising. Going to experiment with a few of them as well. I'm trying to...

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

I have nothing but clay. I actually had raised beds made with lumber, but every year I need to screw around with the soil, and the weeds are relentless. Never mind the damn rabbits. Also hoping that ground dwelling insects will be easier to control

Sierra TC-W3 2 Stroke Synthetic Blend Marine Engine Oil

Thanks AD, They also have their regular stuff on sale for $9.99, as well as heavy duty 15W40 oil for $9.99, and quite a few other good things on clearance. I got a ski tow rope for $9, crc chemicals for <$3, below waterline Marine adhesive $4, etc. Think it's ending today. I feel like my wife, I...

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

Yeah, thought about the 55 gallon drums but I still have to build frames, which I have neither the time nor inclination to do, and I'm also concerned with what was in the drums previously, even if the seller says they're food grade. I like the canoes, they would provide camouflage for my other...

    Throttle cable replacement...

Have had a sticking throttle cable that got annoyingly bad last season. Had a spare box/cable from the old donor boat. I pulled the panel that the box is mounted on, and saw sand/debris behind there from when the boat was dunked. Crazy that I'm still chasing things 4 (5?) years later. Barrels of...

    Almost there

So went back to the boat after a couple of weeks. Fluid level normal. There has been some oil in the bilge since I pulled the engine, small leak from the drain plug. But felt around the cooler, and there was oil on the top at the hose fitting, as well as on the bottom. Couldn't tell PS fluid...

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

My raised garden beds have needed to be replaced for at least 5 years. I never seem to get around to it in time. This year is no exception. I was looking for relatively cheap and easy containers that I could use that wouldn't lead to a divorce. I've settled on old canoes/dinghies or bathtubs...

Pushing Run-Flat tires to the limit

I rented a Pacifica a few years ago, really liked it. More fun to drive than a huge suv, better layout, great mileage and surprisingly quick.
