anyone use the aftermarket p/s actuators sold on ebay and amazon? looking for feedback

Nothing special about rebuilding a hydraulic cylinder. Finding replacement seals is the toughest part if a kit isn't available Simply remove old seals and replace with new. Worst comes to worst and you end up with some corrosion around the caps, a common brake hone and an electric drill works...

    67 Year Old Head Bolts

Funny in that all my years in welding and machine work, I don’t think I’ve ever heated aluminum to do anything other than preheat large pieces prior to welding. Broken taps are fun. Especially #10 and smaller. Bolt wise, quicker to just break the bolt off, drill out the center of the bolt with...

Needs some volts and amps for your 24 trolling kicker ?

Auditable noise isn’t the issue. PW supplies and controls are notorious for EMI emissions. Cross talk with “Maximizer” controls and sonar are a common problem How clean is this supply? I’m running CHIRP @ 80-160 kHz. Don’t want a trolling motor banging away at 150 kHZ

Wiring a 3 wire trim/tilt pump to throttle handle switch

Wire size is a function of load over distance. Splicing a smaller diameter wire on to a larger wire equals the sum of the drops of both wire sizes and lengths.

I use my hammers. It’s all the other tools I’ve collected over the years. Have a hard time passing up quality tools at a bargain whether I’ll ever use them or not. A boxed set of Starrett precision machinist squares from a guy down the road for $3. A full set of Snap on, 1/2 and 3/8” drive...
