    Seastar xtreme NFB rotary steering - anyone use this?

    I have one. It works good. The NFB is great, however it does seem stiffer to turn. But it is great not fighting engine or prop torque anymore. Caught a great deal for the helm and cable for only $150 ish brand new from a dealer.

    Transducer interference

    Do you have a picture of where your transducer is located on the transom? My hook reveal 7 reads up to about 40mpg. After that I have a dedicated depth sounder for depth only. By the time I slow down to 30 or so my hook picks back up.

    Yes that is what you do. However on mine, you really can't tell that little triangle is missing so I didn't bother with it I cut the 45 short from the corner some so I could tuck it about half way down. So yea the little triangle doesn't really seem like its missing

    Have you checked the control box? The fact you have no spark on all of them seems like maybe the kill wire in the control box might be powered somehow? Man that's a pretty inline. Mines a 84 115 and looks way worse than that lol. But I'm working on cleaning it up.

    Engine Height

    Check the prop for spun hub first. Guessing that's the problem. Ours would cavitate pretty bad as well, took the prop in and had them add a bunch of cup to it and it helped a bunch. Then added a whale tale just cause we had one laying around. No cavitation problems now

    I found if you find the hull ID. It will help you determine year and make. From there measure length and beam and you should be able to narrow down the model. Then you can Google the model number and see what you can find.

    Spun Prop on 115 suzuki115

    Thats how my prop was at first. Bought a boat and it had a spun hub. Would rev to about 2k before slipping. Just testing back to the ramp, by the time I got to the ramp it would only hold about 1200 rpms
