    I got the engine second hand. I changed the impeller as soon as I bought it. I am going to remove the cylinder head. I noticed this shitty weld job on the block…any thoughts on to why this is here? Blown the block before? Is it even worth trying to fix this thing @racerone

    Hi Gents, I tested the compression on my motor today trying to troubleshoot some issues. The top cylinder is reading extremely low around 15 PSI The bottom cylinder is reading healthy at 115 PSI Obviously, this is a massive issue -- any ideas on how to diagnose the problem on the top...

    Got home - ran it on muffs. Works perfectly and gears change without a hitch. I imagine it it some type of pressure issue…really keen to hear you guys thoughts.

    Took the boat out for its first voyage. Engine fired right up, when I went to put it in reverse it died. I tried again in forward and it died. Would love to see what you guys are thinking…thanks

    I painted the boat per the sticky thread and it looks great. I have an issue though - the paint is a flat olive drab color for duck hunting. I have already made a few light scratches from applying my state number decals. I touched them up with some paint. Issue is I don’t want to touch it up...

    Got that sucker back on the trailer -- I can confirm I will need at least one additional keel roller on the tongue. What is the best way to check tongue weight? My thought is step on the bathroom scale like normal then step on it while holding the tongue... I might be way off but I am sure...

    I will look into a spare tire and the tongue weight. I am going to have to get the boat back on the trailer which seems like a pain in the *ss. Any suggestions on getting it back up on the trailer or am I going to need to bribe my buddies..

    Thanks for the response -- motor is in great shape. Hull doesn't have any leaks or cracks to worry about. I am in the process of repainting and am going to pull the boat off the trailer asap. Anything else I should be on the lookout for with that hull? I know it ain't great but it's what I got.
