    Just wanted to share this with you guys. The kids and I wanted a swimplatform but they are to much $. So, I made one out of redwood,70$ and then I had some brackets made 120$ metal but powder coated. Sealed the platform with cabot. Thank you woodonglass.

    I pulled the motor and the old flappers were shot so bad I can not tell how to reinstall them. Should I pull these out? The old ones had a pin these just have hooks on the side to hold them in. It's these or nothing. Would you go with none at all?

    What are somthings you guys have used to install a gimbal bearing. I know they make a tool for this install but I thought I read in a tread that a guy used a piece of 2 inch pvc pipe to install the bearing.

    What kind do I need for a 4.3 mercruiser? Can I use regular automotive plugs and oil? I have to order everthing for my boat. The nearest boat shop is 50 miles away.100 miles round trip so it eats up gas in a hurry. Thanks in advance.:)
