    Will 18' boat tow a 26' boat?

    If my 26' breaks down in the water, can I use my 18' to pull it back to the dock? To my understanding, when towing, you do it just a tad above idle, and not try to run the engine hard. Like 1000 ~1200 rpm

    HELP, Pre alpha upper unit, how to tell gear ratio?

    I purchased a used outdrive with 1.65 gears. Both the upper and lower housings are cracked, how can I tell the gear ratio's for sure? I can see the gears but I have not stripped the drive down yet.

    Using Pre Alpha with SEI to Cobra retrofit kit?

    Prices on pre alpha MC-1 drives in my area seem very reasonable $150-300 for a good drive. SE 116 (alpha 1 gen II) is what you are supposed to use with the OMC cobra kit, but I wonder why they do not want you using the SE 106 drive (alpha 1 gen I)? Anyways, has anyone done this with a pre alpha?

    The previous owner removed the marine distributor from my 165HP six, and installed an all in one automotive one with the coil in the center. I noticed they twisted the two tan wires together and wired it to the B+ on the distributor, and the two dark brown wires together with nothing else...

    Solas amita 4 blade makes engine flare / rev when trimmed up?

    On a friends 19' sea ray SRV 190 we switched out the old skool michigan wheel 17p 3 blade for a Solas Amita 15p 4 blade and now when you trim up the drive, the engine will flare up. We even noticed this with the trim all the way down. What would be the cause of this? It kinda sounds & feels...

    165HP Inline Six 2GC Carburetor. Need acceleration pump / power pump......

    Carb is very clean and nice thoughout, but has classic symptom of a bad acceleration pump, which merc is calling a power pump. Anyone have a part number or know where I can source just this plunger? I do not want to buy a master kit as the carb does NOT need rebuilt. Runs fantastic otherwise.

    Cobra drive has milky oil....Result from ripped bellows?

    Ujoint bellows is ripped, can this cause the upper shaft seal to fail and make the outdrive oil milky? Or is there more serious issues with the drive?

    RTV'ing a Ripped Bellows as a temp fix.............
