    Wetsanding gel coat. With Air DA pads.......

    By hand I find 600 or 800 grit works great wet. However when I use my DA the water causes the pads to come off. Is there any trick to keeping them on, or a different kind of discs I need to buy. These are 3m wet/dry so I thought the adhesive would be OK. Guess not.........

    Alpha1 upper w/ MC-1 lower......Possible?

    We aquired a 1985 with a good alpha one upper, and a big hole in the lower. No water intrustion, just an someone who pulled it down the road too long.... I have a spare MC-1 lower from a 78' boat we scrapped. I can't remember if we leave the pin, or grind it off. Any other mods?

    Changing trim pump hose.

    On a pre alpha 120/140 it looks like the high pressure hose goes thru the transom shield down low. How do you change this, not only can I not see it, but getting tools in there looks impossible. Any ideas?

    On my four winns the red gel coat is faded. I can wetsand and buff and it will look nice for a month. Can I do this and then spray a clear coat over it to keep it looking nice?
