BUNK SLICKS WOW! just FRIGGEN WOW!!!!!

Since I started using the Monte Carlo I have been power loading it..... I KNOW I shouldn't be and I have tried to use as much inertia as possible but it has always taken LOTS of throttle for half a second to get it to the bow roller.... I couldn't winch it on (I have a big winch and I tried)...

Yeah ok so I'm gonna shrink wrap my own boat this year.

I really can't afford to get a storage cover made and the cost of having the boat wrapped is insane.... I've done some reading and it looks like I can get the supplies to wrap it 3 times over with a door and plenty of vents for a little over $250...... I am absolutely NOT going to spend...

    bow pulpit questions

Re: bow pulpit questions Here is a pic I just took of mine.... I don't have any chain YET.... I plan to add it in the future. The windlass on mine is a vertical windlass... they are a bit more involved to mount than a horizontal. Mine is mounted where my deck pipe used to be (I had to enlarge...

Re: what does the anti-siphon valve do? good of you to be concerned but a mityvac is not a shopvac.... It does NOT have an electric motor...... It does NOT make sparks... It can NOT cause an explosion EDIT: and soooooo do not use the vacuum cleaner with a similar name ;) mityvac

EMPTY weight of a 60's mariner 28' cruiser???

Sooo I can buy a cheap mariner with extensive problems..... Thinking about scrapping it for the aluminum.... any idea what the stripped hull would weigh without an engine or anything else in it?

    Maidened the Monte Carlo today!!!

ok so it isn't "done" but I couldn't stand it any longer soooooooo the carbs aren't quite right yet the caps and rotors are all corroded inside, I haven't set the timing yet and I still need to swap in new plugs and wires, BUT she did 45 mph on gps.... 4300 rpm on the port engine and 4400...

    Still confused on trailer lights

Re: Still confused on trailer lights while laws on the matter vary from state to state, generally the axle is not relevant.... the viewing direction IS.... amber on the side and red on the rear and yes it is a good idea to have the rearmost side marker be red. here is mine

getting desperate REWARD for a boat name!

Ok folks, I NEED to name my boat.... I'm going to document it through the coast guard and it must be named first. The name I'm looking for should be a bit rowdy but not offensive and some sort of nautical reference is a plus I've been through many..... most recently I considered R'n'Arrrrrrrr...

    89 WELLCRAFT MONTE CARLO performance

sooooooo I'm getting VERY close to getting my project on the water and I have a question. I know there are a few others on here (or formerly on here) with the same boat. I sent out a few pm's but got no replies. I'm wondering what speed others have achieved and with what engines and props? I'm...
