Hydrolock, swim platform, riser height and static water line question

I could be wrong here but I seem to remember a service bulletin about switching to the taller elbows. My Larson is a 2000 and it uses the the 11 inch high risers, and I always use the after market gaskets (manifold to riser) because the metal ones that are OE from VP have rusted out on me...

    I/Os in salt water...

^^^ Yep I agree My 2000 Larson w/twin VP dp-sm on it spends months at a time in the water( Gulf of Mexico) and all it really needs is cleaned off every now and the but I also use outdrive anti-fouling paint on it.

Looking for a salt water boat

Late 2000,s Wellcraft Coastal, Aquia Sport, Hydra Sport, Trophy all would work for what you want to do but might I suggest a Walkaround (go to have a head to keep the Admiral happy) and all should be obtainable on your budget. Most don't draft to large an amount and have canvas for some...

First time pulling a riser with questions about condition w pics

Got some questions. How long have they been on the boat, is this the first time they've been taken apart, was there a metal gasket on there and why are you taking it apart is there an issue?

    Transducer interference

Do you have a stepped hull? If so that would be pretty normal, the Larson has a stepped hull and the depth does not read at cruising speed but the stand alone depth sounder that is located forward of the step works all the time, has to do with the amount of bubbles or turbulence the step creates

    Installing new decking question

Seems like going through all that work you want this repair to last, and I know $$ are always on every ones mind so if it were me I'd be using marine grade plywood and glassing the bottom.

    Transducer interference

The old Garmin stuff that's on our Larson work way better then the Hook2 9 I added to the Wellcraft. In the spring I'm going to replace the hook and use it for target practice

    Transducer interference

I have a hook2 9 and I regret the day I bought it. I've contacted Lowrance many times trying to get fixes for things like the speed at which the gps updates, delays when zooming in or out, the depth sounder and all the tings related to it just stop working randomly. Any way they said there are...
