    Tricks to removing through-hull transducer

    I bought a new depth finder for the boat but now I need to remove the old transducer which is a through-hull (actually goes through a hole in the hull). I can't budge the nut & I'm wondering how to best approach this without damaging anything. I'll post a pic when I figure out how from my phone :)

    Acceptable slop in rotary steering?

    My 2008 Four Winns H200 has power assisted rotary steering with some slop in the wheel. How much slop should be acceptable if any? I'd say right now it's less than 10°.

    Calm night tonight on the lake and I had 3 kids , my wife & I in the boat (2008 Four Winns H200 w/ carbed 5.0L). The brochure for the boat says it should too out at ~53ish but I only hit ~43-45 according to my iPhone GPS. WOT was at around 4500 RPM & I had adjusted trim as best as possible...
