I just came across a 78 evinrude 85hp that the guy says needs a water pump and "the throttle sticks" as he put it. $100 cash money; problem is I don't have any cash money till next week and he (his wife) wants it gone by this weekend.     Shallow boat launch fun!

    this is the beach launch at the campground we went to last weekend. good thing for tilt trailers! this pic i was pulled a little further out of the water, but when i actually launched, the back tires were up to the hubs, and the tailpipe was in the water and the boat still wasnt touching the water!

    1974 evinrude 50 hp sparking - and not in a good way

    this weekend while putting the motor down i noticed sparking. the mechanism that locks the motor in the up or down position... well it seems to be rubbing against the lower cowling. when it rubs, it sparks! any ideas?

    holsclaw trailer suspension

    my most recent project boat is on a holsclaw trailer with dual coil spring and shock on each side. the trailer seems to bounce ALOT, and i was wondering if i can replace the shocks that are on it with something a bit stiffer?
