    Yes, I did and this morning I can't get any spark out of the coil. I get red/wht wire showing 11.84 from the ignition module, in fact I'm getting like 8. 6 or something from grn/wht out of dizzy...??? I spent the morning striking the grn/wht to engine ground...no effect...

    Yes, only I have to admit that when using the gap tester from coil tower to ground, I may not be doing it correctly as such I was just using a spark tester from coil to ground.

    Now I am getting 12v at coil +, and 11.84 coming out of module via red/wht wire, followed by 8.62 at the red/wht going into the distributor...now where do I go? Still no spark coming out of coil tower?

    Ok, finally, well, after cleaning and rewiring the alt wiring contacts,etc., and the slave/breaker station etc., I still get 12v at + coil/key in run position, but when I go to next test step I get 0v from red/wht wire coming from ignition module...so do I replace new after market sensor with...

    The PDF manual does exist somewhere. .frankly, when the subject surfaced, I went looking for my fully digitized complete index of ALL service repair manuals...but they had been hacked out of my storage (should have left them on an SD card im my drawer). I lost the whole library! Sorry.

    Constant 12v a coil+ key on. 9 - 10v while cranking. Nothing beyond that point. Thinking cap & rotor wheel? Wires? If the wires in and out of alt'r also got wet like everything else, don't I need to clean up those contacts as well? I guess my problem is not dependant on such...

    I now get consistent 12.5 v's to +coil w/key on, I have to check what It gets while cranking I would assume...but no spark from coil tower to ground... I am going to go over the breaker connections at the engine side again this morning, I am going under helm/ gage panel, and then the remote...

    Ok, I received no sensor...however, my old one has posts where grn/wht and rd/wht connect to...the new one however come with leads instead. So I don't want to wire it wrong...how exactly do I bypass the posts if they were there? Any suggestions?

    Sorry for the confusion. Imy getting confused as well. I am getting 12 volts to coil w/key in "on" position. Usually. Well somehow it all got lost in translation...I had no power at switch. Replaced it. Went through all connections and cleaned every surface of each contact and re-connected...

    Ok, now I have no spark still and now no power to gages...either. I'm thinking I'll pick up a new sensor this week as well as new cap, gasket, and rotor wheel...I do have a couple of other plug in harnesses for boat side to gage panel If need I could always resort to one of those as well...

    Can one solder the green/wht distributor wire post where connected to the sensor at base of cap? I mean is there any issues with my trying to do that?

    I tried both ways with tach on and off the coil, but need to complete the clean up first I would imagine. I keep uncovering areas I can't just ignore as I am becoming more aware of how interdependent each wire is upon the next. I never thought or saw it this but then I didn't know any better...
