    Spray some water at the lower pivot, it might just stop. My concern would be to check for play by lifting the leg, there is a flat plastic washer about 2 inch diameter which controls the vertical play. To remove the lower pivot is very easy and no special tools needed.

    Put it in gear and rotate the prop shaft to align the splines whilst pushing it in. While it was apart did you do an alignment check of the gimbal bearing, if not then may I suggest you get an alignment bar to make sure.

    Fuel tank pickup clogged or anti syphon blocked. I presume you have checked the fuel/water separator is clean? Try a portable tank directly into the the fuel/water separator.

    " Found a damaged bushing blocking the water circulation path" was it a firm rubber bushing? If so possibly from the upper joint between the upper & lower parts of the out drive Part Number 3852315.
