Gas or oil out of exhaust

that 2017 should be a 4 stroke motor, so no burning of oil. have you checked levels and condition of motor oil and lower unit lube? also might want to look at your spark plugs to see if you see something different on one or more plugs

    Yamaha Outboard SLOW crank! Help!

remove the spark plugs to see it that lets it spin faster, if it helps check compression on each cylinder if not drop the lower unit to see if that is what is binding up the motor. have you checked the oil level and condition in the power head and lower unit if still no help check all...

Yamaha 150hp 2-stroke low fuel pressure

yes also ,the pump in the VST gets its lubrication and cooling from the fuel it pumps. if no fuel , it can harm the pump

200 hp Saltwaterseries lift motor engaging on its own.

if you have a problem and you disconnect a part you suspect causes the problem and that fixes the problem, that proves it was the problem. then replace it. guessing just causes wasted money seems you do not need to be running the motor or even have it in the water to check

200 hp Saltwaterseries lift motor engaging on its own.

I test and make sure what is causing problems on my stuff. replace what is needed when I am sure that is the problem. that is just the way I am wired

Pretty sure I found at least one of the leaks.

it is just a plastic cover, that helps keep the noise down. you cannot see into the carb throats when it is in place

Pretty sure I found at least one of the leaks.

that would not cause all cylinders to fowl their spark plugs, only the one with the stuck float you may need to remove the silencer from the front of the carbs to see if there is fuel dumping into the motor due to a stuck float in one or more of the carbs

Pretty sure I found at least one of the leaks.

with the cowling off, listen and visually check to see if anything happens when you push the key in. may be those 2 devices on the carbs 1& 3 operate when pushing the key, but that is not the way the prime start works on my C40 2 stroke. just because you can push the key switch in does not...

Pretty sure I found at least one of the leaks.

also running too rich or too cold will cause fuel to get in oil, because not all fuel is being burned in the cylinders it leaks by the rings. rea dup on motors making oil and what causes it I mentioned this prime start system to you in one of your other threads you started on this motor...

Pretty sure I found at least one of the leaks.

you need to think about what could cause all 4 cylinders to run rich. prime start system not shutting off, or someone has jacked with the carbs and have wrong settings or wrong jets is all I can come up with

Pretty sure I found at least one of the leaks.

a 2 stroke fuel pump gets its pulse from the crankcase itself, if there is a leak in the diaphragm, that leaking fuel hits the crankcase and is sucked into the combustion chamber of the cylinder that delivers the pulse to be burned with the other fuel. I do not see how that would hit all...

Pretty sure I found at least one of the leaks.

so, have you verified the fuel pump is leaking and is the problem. or just guessing again? I do not see how a 4 stroke would run too rich if the pump diaphragm leaked. a 2 stroke yes I could see that happening, but not a 4. how is the fuel getting into the combustion chambers?
