If you don’t have them get the factory manuals for both engine and drive. Has great info and procedures for stuff like doing the bellows. i bought used ones off ebay
there is no crushed area that is the casting of the OF housing. If you are talking about the oval looking hole near the tag, that’s actually a round hole that goes through the bellhousing flange on back of block.its just at a 90 deg angle to camera .
Plugs look a little rich but definitely in the normal range.
did you adjust the throttle cable or idle speed screw or both?the throttle cable should be long enough that when you set the idle speed screw to what rpm you want with The throttle cable off the carb Throttle lever. Once idle is set...
I bought a big easy thinking I could get up slalom still couldn’t do it… I’m 53 but i could never slalom… two skis, wake board no pro….. just can’t slalom
Top hole is not used. Bottom hole goes into oil pressure gallery. On my mercruiser this has a T for the oil pressure switch and the oil pressure sender. I think it’s 1/8” npt, if not that it’s 1/4”npt. If you don’t have any senders or switches to go in just plug it with a pipe plug
As bondo states holding the gasket and cover vertical may be a pain.
You could either put bolts in it to hold the gasket or glue the gasket to the cover with RTV or gasket adhesive, let that set up then put it on.
You can always try it with the dizzy in place and take it out only if needed...
I would verify your fuel pressure is ok and the regulator is still working ok. usually there is a gauge port on the regulator. Would also look down the bores to see if fuel is dripping off the boosters at idle. If present this would mean the fuel bowl is overflowing due to high fuel pressure or...
Most of the issues you see now flat tapped issues are new cams during break In. What people (resonably smart YouTube channels) is the cams and lifters are not machined correctly. Inconsistent or lacking taper to cam lobe and convex lifter bottom. Any oil quality or metalurgy issues are on top of...
X2 on the floating dock.
i installed a drive on mat from these guys https://gulfstreamdocks.com/
for my brothers 17 ft power cat. It just a bigger version of what you use for a jetski.
where it might work for you is it’s made out of rectangular blocks that are held together with cam lock pins...
easiest way to tell is crack your gas cap open if it is under vacuum then your vent is plugged, and if you open it it will remove the restriction getting fuel out of a tank under vacuum
yes its to heat under the carb for atomization as the vortec head has no exhaust crossover. I am not 100% sure if it takes exhaust gas or water- but thought it was exhaust not water. Definitely doesnt not circulate, assume it gets warm by being connected pathway.
I would think he has a bad...
Themselves don’t spin with the seal. I think what was mentioned above is the inner race of the inner bearing holds the sleeve on the spindle by compressing the o ring against the sleeve and pushing it against the vertical.
this is just a guess on my part but since these are designed for...
So if the spark checks out ok you have verified the following are ok -
compression
ignition timing both at idle and total advance
fuel supply /pressure
I would think the only thing left would be go back to the carb rebuild, clean it again. Unless the hull is full of water or the bottom is...
its a matter of ruling out low hanging fruit and multiple things could influence it as AD lays out.
What is the gap on the plugs looks fairly wide but hard to tell from the screen?
