    I am considering repowering from a 1996 225HP 3.0 L Black Max to a 225 HP Mercury Verado. Can anyone tell me the weight difference between the two. :)Thanks

    Quick Silver Shift Control

    I have a top mounted Mercury Quick Silver shift control and the trim switch sticks in either the up or down position. Can just the switch be replaced or do I have to purchase a new Shift Control? Thanks for the help.

    Undercooling

    I have a 1996 Mercury Black Max 225 HP, carburated. Have replaced water pump, poppit valve, and both thermostats and still does get up to temperature. Barely moves the gauge which is also working properly. The telltale stream however is VERY strong. Could that be a problem? Running out of ideas...
