Hello,
I have a mid '80s (I think it is an 85) 150Hp Mercury Mariner.
When starting cold (after sitting) it cranks fine then pops once or twice (which then releases the starter) but doesn't "catch".
Every once in a while I'll get a nice backfire in there too.
What gives?
Timing? Fuel...
