I have a 3 gallon external gas tank for my outboard Merc that is still filled with gas mixture. What do I put in it for the winter to keep the gas good for next season? 50:1 mixture

I have a small 12 foot aluminum boat that I want to build a raised floor in towards the front. I have an idea of how I want to do it but wondering if someone has done this themselves and has any suggestions of what worked well for them? Thanks !!:)
1986 Merc outboard SN-(0A708744) I am trying to take carb off but the stupid choke control is preventing me from getting it off of the bolts. Any suggestions? The choke switch I would take off but can't see how to do it.
