    Also the previous gelcoat wasnt done right, and its also cracking all over the hull. So I gotta take it completely off

    Ah okay got it, so how would you recommend flipping the boat. So I can get to the underside to sand and prep? Also what would a good durable brand of gelcoat be?

    Ive been using 80 grit to take off the old, then gonna go over with 120, to smooth it.

    Do i need to do the gel coat? Or can I do just the paint, I sanded it down because you could see the fiberglass through the gel coat, it was done poorly

    Is this normal after you sand off the paint? This is my first restoration.any advice is greatly appreciated and welcomed, trying to restore the whole boat

    ID needed please.

    There's no stamp i looked, and the title just says traveler boat no model or anything. The reason why i said i believe it to be, is because I havnt been able to find any information on travelers that are 17ft, theyre all shorter. And I havnt been able to find a match to the style either...

    I have what I believe to be a traveler, not sure what model Year is 1964, 17ft fiberglass im trying to restore it. And wanting new trim and a new windshield. This is my first boat restoration, so any advice is greatly appreciated!
