    Lowrance Fuel Flow issue/questions

Thank you - if I pick my product (Elite FS) there is no support offered. However, choosing a higher end product takes me to the contact options you have shown. So, thanks for pointing that out, I will try to reach out to them.

    Lowrance Fuel Flow issue/questions

First - yes, 2 engine, 2 tanks Second - holy @#$%!! The manual that came with my sensors and the manual that came with the FS7 have NONE of this! The Lowrance guy and I simply walked thru the menus on the FS7 to try and figure it out. We had a lot of confusion between "Boat Port and...

I never get to that point..... I just see "Sorry, there are no contact options available at this time." ???

    Lowrance Fuel Flow issue/questions

Yes - but that was part of the confusion. It kept wanting to assign the sensors to only one engine. There did not seem to be a straight forward way to say "this is the sensor for the starboard engine". The fellow from Lowrance helped get it "functional" but it did not seem correct. As...

    Lowrance Fuel Flow issue/questions

I installed an Elite FS7 last spring, then added two fuel flow sensors. I had some config problems and got some phone support but never quite got the issue sorted. Now support from Lowrance appears to be no longer available? Is anyone here up on Lowrance configuration? Here is the issue...

Question about paint chips in fuel system

I wish there was a filter in the high pressure line that could be easily changed. I am worried about the new fuel cells having similar issues, though they might be fine. But I am also worried about additional connections that could leak!

Question about paint chips in fuel system

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help. Managed to get the fuel rail off before wrapping the boat up for the winter. The only difficult thing was getting the injectors out - they were the originals and well painted in! I bought my self an early Christmas gift, and tested the injectors as...

Question about paint chips in fuel system

Good point - I did limit running once I got fuel pressure under control.

Question about paint chips in fuel system

Yes they did. I called Monterey to inquire about access, and they suggested to cut the deck. Fortunately I am only 5' 8" and 160lbs so I can squish into some tight spaces. At age 61 the body does not like it.....

Question about paint chips in fuel system

I did perform the compression check - 160 to 165 PSI on all cylinders. I am planning on removing injectors this off season.

Question about paint chips in fuel system

Props have been the same for 20+ years, so I don't think that is the culprit. They are pristine and not damaged.

Question about paint chips in fuel system

Great link. Left me with a question that might be a misunderstanding. How do the paint chips get past the screen on the high pressure pump? Is it simply too coarse to stop them?

Question about paint chips in fuel system

I have a perfectly good Atlas in the basement and never even thought of that. Got hyper-focused on finding a socket that would work!

Question about paint chips in fuel system

Thank you I can get the arrestor off, so should be good to go. Good idea on compression check. Changed the plugs yesterday but forgot my compression gauge, but simple enough now that I finally found a decent spark plug socket that fits under my GLM manifolds.

    4.3GXI-E fuel consumption - resolved

Just wanted to follow up for anyone interested. Plugs looked fine, even after running on the rich side all season. Pics attached. Now thinking injectors might be suspect. Replacing plugs did not help situation.
