Bought and mounted a really good condition 1981 MC-1 to replace my 1969 MC-1 that broke its lower drive shaft. Turns out the new MC-1 is either for a 6 cylinder or 3.7 4 cylinder, wrong ratio. Limped through last summer with a 14P prop. vs my stock 19P.
Can I swap out the ring and pinion from...
I can pick up a basket case 18' Starcraft Holiday with good outdrive and ugly trailer for $200. I know I am going to catch heat for this, but it really is a basket case. Left out in the weather for several years, frozen busted engine block and no title plus last registered in a different state...
Re: Discussion Topic: Flippin' (tin) Starcrafts
Bought another one at estate auction this morning. 1974 Glastron with 85 hp Mercury and sea lander trailer. $110.00
Looking for replacement prop for my Mercruiser III. The #'s on the existing prop are 48-47706-A1-23 b. Out of curiousity, what are the specs on this prop? Does the 23 on the end mean 23 pitch? FYI, odd prop, very large, 20" I think. 1969 model if that helps.
Re: Discussion Topic: Flippin' (tin) Starcrafts
Here is an example for you guys.

Re: Poll- Location 2011 Great lakes region meet
Anybody want to meet up at riverfest in Cincinnati this sunday for the WEBN fireworks? They close off the Ohio River every year to put this on. It's an amazing experience.
A row of Starcrafts tied up together sure would look good out there!!:)

I went from a 1969 Mercruiser to a newfangled 1981 Mercruiser. Now my old thrust washer don't fit right. The newer one has a tapered shaft. The pics show the prop that I am trying to put on the newer shaft. The prop part # is 48-93272-a4.
Do I need the standard Mercruiser / 75+ hp outboard...
Carburetor needs rebuilt on my 1969 Mercruiser 120. Can't buy a kit locally and don't have time to order one, rebuild and test before this weekend. My boat came with a brand new, really old, rebuild kit; but there are no instructions in the box. Only a sheet explaining how to adjust float...
I broke the lower driveshaft on my 1969 MC-1 120. Found a good deal on a 1981 Alpha 120. I am 99% sure this will bolt in place without replacing my transom ring. Am I correct? What about the driveshafts, the same?
I am hoping to check my alignment, replace impeller, bolt in on, change the oil...
Please don't vote unless you are serious about attending and will be towing your boat to the location. If you want to attend without your boat, that is fine I just figure those towing should get preference.
If you would like to add a location. Post the location, if somebody seconds it, I will...
I am having difficulty finding it, but it may just be the season. I have been searching of course craigslist and eBay. But also have been think outside the box and searching yacht broker and boat broker, no luck.
Maybe some of you will have better methods and luck.
See what you can find.

Any of you with an I/O ever installed one of these in the cabin of your boat? I installed one once in the cab of a backhoe. Was really simple. Bought some bulk heater hose from auto parts store and ran 12 volts to the switch...
