Nothing is selling here. Seller is getting desperate. Told me he would take $6500. Needs cash and wants out of his $800 per month slip. It seems like if I paid $4000 to do the pulpit I would still be getting a great deal.
FWIW, Had a marine mechanic look at it and everything is good.
I can get this boat for real cheap, but it will not not fit in my 29.5' slip. I would have to remove the entire pulpit to get it to the right length. As you can see from the pics, it is integrated with the hull. Does anyone know if that is possible? I would be happy to pay a shop if it is...
Thank You!! Nice catches!
Checked with the Rinker seller and he said no flood, "only rainwater got in there". Haha - a cabin filled with any type of water is flooding.
Regarding the Chris Craft drive, I just assumed a VP drive. You saved me a 4 hour round trip drive to look at it.
Hi Everyone, I haven't been around iboats in a few years, but am getting back into boating again. I bought a 1977 Catalina 27 to get a slip in Oceanside CA (3 year waiting list) and am looking to replace it with a powerboat. It will mostly be our condo on the water, but will likely do some...
UPDATE - Took the pump apart and it was full of very thick slime. Everything was clogged. Cleaned with brushes, small screw drivers and carb cleaner. Also blew out the lines with carb cleaner. Flushed and then filled with synthetic 5w30 (had a gallon in my garage). Works perfectly now. Could...
Well I guess the problem was more than just the end caps. I removed all 4 hydraulic lines from the trim cylinders and ran the pump. Only a few partially milky ounces came out and and then nothing from any of the lines. ...and the reservoir is still full.
Time for a new pump?
It is now in the down position after installing the new caps. Yes, the reservoir is full...even though quite a bit of fluid came out when I cracked the lines at the cylinders to reinstall the rams.
One of the original caps was frozen on the ram as you all suspected. I put the 2 new end caps in and I can hear the pump but now will not go up or down. New caps slid up and down fine before installation. Was I suppose to bleed the system somehow?
Mine had a crack in a bladder or something inside the pump that allowed fuel continue to flow after shutdown. If I let it sit 20-30 minutes, it would start right up.
Is your fuel line from the pump to carb clear or see thru? I had this problem with a Merc 3.7 and when warm, the pump would continue to pump after I shut down, causing flooding condition. I tried multiple batteries to crank thru the flooding and worked ok. I finally noticed the continued fuel...
I got both sides apart. Doesn't look too tough to do the seal kit. I know, I know... I will order one tomorrow. Does anyone know of any good videos of this? I found a couple on Youtube, but they don't show the process too well.
Had an injury to may left arm a few years ago and working with small parts can sometimes be a problem. Can I buy new end caps with seals already in them?
