    I have a 35hp 1978 seahorse, the engine runs fine at idle and all the way up to 2000rpm once i throttle it anymore it dies, if i choke it for 5 seconds then throttle up the engine will go through the throttle range ok, it still isnt fantastic when i do this but prove to myself its not a timing...

    Hi i have a johnson 35hp 1978 seahorse CD It seems to have a problem with the magneto or electrical system that controls spark and timing, i also have a 1992 evinrude 25hp i was wondering if i could swap over the magneto and electrical system over from the rude to johnson?
