    1974 Johnson 40 HP Shifter Lock Engineering

    There isn't a depression on the shifter lock for Neutral, instead it's on a plate. My motor will not stop at N and just goes from F-R or R-F. This is one expensive part change that wasn't necessary, so how do I adjust it?

    i tried starting this motor without the controls hooked up. It doesn't spark on all 3 cylinders. It is wiring for remote start/systems check. I am just wondering if i do indeed need to hook it up to controls or is there a failed electrical component?
