i've only done the chicken place a couple times, merely ok and the one breakfast sandwich was horrible - and it took 20 min at the drive thru and only behind two other cars.
never hurts to have a fuse.
i'll peruse the manual to see if I can find some stuff on the limits but honestly i don't worry about it on an outboard. I can see and hear it.

last year or so i've got about $10k into a car worth prob $4, but similar to the 'new' house - not much else to go wrong and it is done the way god intended. A natural diesel will last forever.
