    new ignition now no spark

    had a problem with the soleniod sticking, as suggested i replaced the ignition, i also had the batt tested and its ok, replaced the solenoid, all wires leading to motor and from batt all brand new and clean. after replacing the ignition switch (6 pole) i have no spark ??/ Hmmmm somethings rotten...

    ok , back ground, motor was running but the starter was stuck on , was told possible ingnition switch, replace key switch, replaced solinoid, now the fuse dosnt blow but the solinoid buzzes and slowly turns the starter? going to recharge batts.

    i have a 1991 225 johnson, every now and then the starter stays on , you try to start motor turn key motor turns dosent start right away release the key and the starter is still spinning, you tap the solenoid and it stops, some times i have tried to start the motor and it starts up and runs...

    Re: 1981 airslot project. Things are moving very well,redone most of the teakwood, replaced and refiberglassed deck and rebuild the storage hole, replaced the skylight in cuddy with a 17 X 32 pop open hatch with mirror finish just need to build new hatch for cuddy, and swap out the motor...

    1981 Wellcraft Airslot 24' fisherman outboard.W/A cuddy Motor replaced with a 1990 Johnson 225 hp was a 1981 235, removing the windshild and adding a pilothouse with rocket launhers new seats and a dive ladder.
