Engine alignment is usually done out of the water ( new boat ) then time goes by and nature does it's thing as always.------Weak transom / stringers means that alignment on the trailer is NOT valid when boat is floating.----Or operating in rough seas.
???-----Very normal and exactly the way it left the factory.----In forward the prop ratchets when turned clockwise.----It locks when turned counterclockwise!
When anchoring one of the crew used to snorkel down to check the anchor.----One time he came up and said----" Get me some rope"---Down he went and minute later we hauled up a very nice anchor.-----Nothing had been attached to it.-----I think he still uses it on his own sailboat now.
Might be using a sailboat belonging to somebody else.----Take it out any time I want.----I have the fishing gear.----Few pennies on diesel to get out on the lake.
