The missing pin is part of that vertical lever assembly.-----And they are proud of it judging by how many beer tokens they want for one.------Fabricate something.-----Or find one on E-bay , or try ----evinrudeparts.ca----if in Canada.
Old time systems often give you a warning that something needs to be done.-----New electronic / electric stuff fails like a light bulb.----Flick the switch and ---" poooff " ---you are in the dark.-----On the water simple stuff is the ticket.
Agree with post #4.----If pushed out by cold weather then inspection is required.-----They are " core plugs "----And somehow they began to be called freeze plugs.
This electronic stuff is cheap to manufacture.----Failures are hard / complex / expensive to repair.----Take a look at how many ECU's are now listed as NLA for modern 4 strokes.
????----Why is a simple thing like a power trim / tilt solenoid now at post #35 ??----Just proof that 12 volts and wires are not well understood.-----Use the factory solenoid part #581528 and sleep better at night !
Touch blue to positive and green to negative to test for up.-----You will need the relays and wiring for it.---Do you have a switch on the control lever ?-----Wiring and 12 volts has proven to be an issue for some.----A shop will cost many beer tokens.
