I have a 2003 mercury 115hp 4 stroke motor. I had a loose ground or a short on one of my batteries on my boat. When i first launched my boat this season the boat started fine, as it did after i performed a tune up. However since the battery was loose or the connections where not tight enough...
I recently hit some rocks with my 2004 Merc 115 hp,
The Skeg cracked and the prop was hit as well.
I put a skeg gaurd on the broken Skeg & I replaced the prop.
I test drove the boat and was unable to plane or break 10 knots.
After examing the prop I saw that the prop shaft is possibly bent...
