    idle

    i am having trouble locating the screw to adjust the idle. when i start it it idles like its in full throttle so i know i need to adjust it i just can locate the screw. it is a 1974 70hp evinrude

    starter wont connect to flywheel

    I have a 1974 evinrude 70hp motor and when I turn the key the starter will not catch with the flywheel and i hear a pop and it sounds like its coming from the top spark plug or wire. I checked the plugs they look good and compression test was good as well. any suggestions?

    engine trouble

    I have a 72 Johnson 65 HP engine and when I open the throttle all the way up it goes for about 30 seconds and it will bog down and then stall. I checked the compression and I have about 150 on the bottom two and hardly any compression on the top. Could it be the head gasket or something else?

    stalls

    I have a 1972 65 HP Johnson and when I open up the throttle it will go for about 30 seconds then it will slow down by itself then stall. What should I be looking at?
