    Relative cost of rebuilding a I6 1500?

    Its a 1973 and was told by the guy that gave it to me it had no compression in one cylinder. The motor's at the shop to find out what is wrong with it and was quoted $1,000 to put a new piston or two in it--If that's what it calls for. If one to do a rebuild on their own what kind of price tag...
