i got the boat out and running good today, i fixed all my engine woes. i ran it for about 15 minutes and out of no where i heard a bang and it started grinding in forward, im still engaged but it sounds like the gear let loose. in nuetral its fine and itll run in reverse no grinding whatsoever...
89 johnson 110 vro v4, well the motor says it was tested in 1989 so thats what im guessing. i looked on this website for carb kits and water pump and i dont have an option for this hp. do i pick 100 or 115?
I picked up A 1986 ebbtide 166 bassboat with an 89 johnson 110 v4 vro. this is my first boat, and it seemed like an amazing deal. i take it to the water, get it started and let it warm up. First off theres water only spitting out of the back, not a steady stream. so im sure i need a water pump...
