I have had random no crank issues on my 233 merc cruiser the last couple of years. It is so random that it has been hard to figure out. I went through last summer with it only happening twice. In getting ready to launch I wanted to make sure it would turn over. It would only do it on 2. Nothing...
I put in a new impeller last year and this motor pumped water fine all summer. I got it out from my basement today and fired it up and it is not spitting water out of the pee hole just exhaust.
Any ideas on what I can do?
Thanks,

I have a 2007 241 walkaround. Last week the post support for the table broke. Does anyone know where I can get one?
Thanks,

I am looking to replace the original ignition switch in my 2007 Sportcraft with a 5.0 mercruiser. The original is sealed and has no posts to attach wires to. Before I start cutting wires to connect a new one I want to make sure I get the right one.
Thanks,

Checked compression before I bought the motor. Good spark. This issue is so random it is hard to figure out. I had days where it ran good for over 4 hrs before I quit fishing for the day. I am thinking of putting a clear line from the pump to carb so I can see the fuel flow (or not).
Thanks for the reply! I am leaning on just going ahead and rebuild the pump. I can try it out in my backyard. The thing about this issue was it was random not good when trying to troll for walleyes!
Pumping the bulb did not seem to matter. It was very random cutting out. One way I found to get it running was spraying starting fluid in the carb. It would start right up and stay running.
