    70hp lower unit drop. Shift linkage???

    How do I disconnect the shift linkage to drop the lower unit on a 1982 70. I can see what looks to be a bid star bit. and maybe a side set screw??

    1967 Evinrude 60 hp.

    I can get one of these for 75 bucks. dont know anything about it. can someone hook me up with some info? Are they good/bad? prone to failure? It would be going on a 16ft Blue Fin tin boat. I will have to get controls and such but I thought for 75 either way a winner.
