I have an 84 115 hp , Do I have to take the engine off the boat in order to remove the trim and tilt from the back side ? I already loosened the tilt tube and removed the six bolts that mount the unit . but it looks like it won't come out forward . I need to replace the three bolt electric...
I'm trying to drop the lower unit to replace the water pump, and the shifting rod is holding me up. It looks like half way down the lower unit the shifting rod is two piece ,with two stainless steel nuts connect it. Can I unscrew the larger 1 inch nut back up the shifting rod to disassemble...
