With My new boat I can’t see much. A little in each mirror but nothing but hull out the back. Once the boats off I can see the trailer ok. Biggest problem so far is every ramp is different. One is so shallow I can’t get the boat on straight and had to go to the other ramp to get it straight...
It’s surprising how many hours it can take to get a boat the way you want it.
I have about 300hrs into a new to me boat. Thank goodness it’s pretty much done.
I pulled it all apart and cleaned the switch.
The trim worked perfectly for a few cycles and then it stopped. I just get a click at the solenoids now.
What is wrong with?
115 mariner. Quicksilver 3000 controls.
Also tilt at bow and on engine.
Start of season and everything seems ok but I notice a parasitic draw when I hook up the battery. I’m not sure what’s causing that but it seems like it may be related to the trim.
So today I get to a fishing spot...
I made sure I could afford the gas before I bought this boat. It should be 5-10 gal per day of fishing.
My friend just bought a boat with a 115 Yamaha. We talked about a 19’ with a 115 vs a 22’ with 250. I’m sure he’ll be happy at the fill ups.
Yes.
I’m just getting used to this boat. I’m not sure how much gas I need for a day or how big the gas tank is. Trying to figure it out while not running out of gas.
So far The tank is at least 24gal. And I figure 10gal will do for most days fishing.
1994 StarCraft super fisherman 190. I put fuel in (on dry land) and stopped when it kicked off. I didn’t put any more in after it kicked off. It took 100L. When I slowly pulled away from the pump about two cups of fuel came out the overflow. What can I do to stop this?
I find the transducer screws leak. It seems people don’t put sealant on them. Sometimes it’s the drain plug. It seems like every old aluminum boat has a few loose rivets.
I take on a gal or two in a day and I don’t worry about it as I get water in my boats when I’m fishing and it rains.
I had this problem. I put an extra layer of 1/2” plywood 20” square under each seat. I used toggle nuts to attach the seat bases after the floor was installed.
I like pedestals so I can move my feet around during the course of the day. I often tuck my feet under the seat just to change...
Here’s my plan B as I have front wheel drive pulling 2400lb total.
If it won’t pull it out unhook the boat and trailer. Then drive your tow vehicle to flat ground. Then put a tow strap on the trailer and pull it out.
Splash wells are too huge most of the time. This takes away from the rear casting deck. I don’t tilt my engine all the way up anyway. The new super fisherman has a 25” transom vs the 20” old style. That’s nice but it also makes it harder to mount a kicker.
My splash well has scuppers and...
